HISTORY

connects.

History connects.

Institutions with their roots. Communication with meaning. People with one another, their past, present and future. It sharpens perspective.

And the sense of what one stands for.

Research focus: German history, media, gender, and democracy in 20th-century Europe.

Doctoral research on the intersection of gender, media, and democracy: using the magazine stern in the Federal Republic of Germany (1960–1980) as a case study of how media mediated public debates on gender, mapped democratic power relations, and journalists’ roles in navigating and shaping these dynamics within editorial structures and society.
